About The Position
Clinical Laboratory Scientists perform moderate- and high-complexity testing in one or more areas, including chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology. The scientist may or may not perform all essential job functions, depending on experience level, and must demonstrate age-specific competencies for the specific work area in which they work and care for patients.
Requirements
- Valid State of California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or a valid state license as a Clinical Microbiology Scientist (MTE) for a Microbiology position.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems and automated instrumentation.
- Ability to perform the essential physical duties of the job.
- Demonstrate age-specific competencies for the specific work area.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a licensed acute care hospital is preferred.
