About The Position

Are you an experienced laboratory professional with a passion for leadership, quality, and operational excellence? We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations, lead a team of dedicated professionals, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality patient testing services. The Clinical Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing laboratory operations, staff performance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance initiatives, and customer service. This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring the laboratory meets all clinical, operational, and financial objectives while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field required.
  • ASCP certification required (MLS, MT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality systems, and accreditation standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume reference laboratory operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a high-volume clinical laboratory.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor laboratory supervisors, technologists, technicians, and lab assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality control, proficiency testing, and quality assurance programs.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and clients to ensure exceptional service.
  • Manage laboratory budgets, inventory, and operational expenses.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of laboratory personnel.
