About The Position
Texas Health Denton is seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join their team. This full-time night position involves performing specimen collection, patient identification, and labeling according to laboratory procedures and age-specific guidelines. The role also includes performing procedures in other laboratory areas, reporting and evaluating test results, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
- PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.
- Customer Service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient
- Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
- Reports and evaluates test results
- Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care
