This position is for a Cytotechnologist on the Day Shift, working 7.5 hours per day in the United States of America. The role involves following laboratory procedures for pre-analytic and analytic procedures, including specimen handling and processing, test analyses, and reporting, as well as maintaining records of test examinations. It also requires maintaining records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens. Adherence to the laboratory’s safety and quality control policies, and documentation of all quality control activities, instrument and/or procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed are essential. The position also involves documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications. The Cytotechnologist will conduct routine and specialized diagnostic testing for designated sections in the laboratory, utilizing standard and/or specialized techniques and various types of equipment and instrumentation to complete testing. Responsibilities include reporting test results, applying technical skills and knowledge to facilitate patient care, and providing timely and accurate results.
