The Clinical Lab Coordinator oversees and coordinates with the team of employees a variety of duties in a laboratory section to include selection of new equipment, daily technical surveillance, staff competency, new procedures, scheduling, counseling, QC guidelines, purchasing, inventory, problem-solving, communication, safety, and daily departmental operation. The Coordinator works closely with the Laboratory Director to ensure timely communication and effective departmental operation. He/she performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures. Further, the Coordinator supports the mission, vision, and values of the Health System. The Coordinator performs other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Director and assists Laboratory Administration whenever necessary.
