Requirements

• Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license appropriate for the area of responsibility.
• Baccalaureate Degree in a biological science, chemistry, medical technology, or related science.
• One year of clinical laboratory experience in any clinical lab area is acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine laboratory tests and may include some technically complex assays.
• Operating and maintaining test equipment.
• Performing, and documenting QC.
• Training of non-laboratory testing personnel.
• Recognizing, and responding to problems.
• Verifying and reporting test results.
• General support functions necessary for the routine operation of the laboratory.
• Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the developmental issues of the patient population(s) being served.
