About The Position
A Clinical Microbiologist performs Aerobic, Anaerobic, and Fungal/yeast cultures. ID and AST are performed on the Vitek 2 Compact along with molecular analysis performed on GeneXpert and BioMereiuxs' BioFire; Blood cultures on Bactec FX-40. The Clinical Microbiologist is responsible for performing Quality Control, IQCP monitors, function checks, and maintenance. The Clinical Microbiologist may assist with additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by supervising technologists / technicians to include performing quality control and maintenance.
Requirements
- BS in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Clinical Microbiology
- MT(ASCP)
