Clinical Internship
About The Position
Sandstone Care is a behavioral health treatment program specializing in helping adolescents and young adults overcome substance use, mental health, and mood disorders. They are committed to treating the whole person, supporting clients and their families, and helping them build healthy communities for sustained recovery. They are seeking passionate, dedicated individuals currently enrolled in a master’s program in counseling or social work to join their team as a Clinical Intern. This is an unpaid internship/practicum opportunity where interns will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, supportive environment. Sandstone Care values professionalism, ethical practice, and a commitment to continuous learning, and encourages those who complete their practicum to continue for their clinical internship hours.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master’s in counseling or social work program seeking a clinical internship.
- Availability to commit 15-20 hours per week, including at least one evening per week.
- A desire to contribute to a supportive, client-centered treatment environment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain CPR certification within the first 30 days of internship.
Responsibilities
- Supporting clients' recovery journey
- Contributing to treatment goals
- Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Engaging in clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing responsibilities
- Coordinating care with clients, their families, and other providers
- Leading individual sessions
- Facilitating group sessions
