About The Position

Teaching in the lab and/or clinical setting with BSN or ADN students as assigned by specialty and needs of the Department of Nursing. This position involves assisting in simulation and laboratory teaching and/or testing, and leading BSN or ADN students in the assigned clinical area. Other job duties may be assigned. All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. Alternatively, the manager could try to provide a reasonable accommodation so that the disabled individual could perform the function.

Requirements

RN licensed in the State of Florida
Successful professional experience of at least 2 (two) years as a registered nurse in the areas of medical-surgical, critical care and/or community nursing is required.
Personal commitment to teach in a Christian university and be in agreement with the mission of Southeastern University.
Medical-surgical, critical care, and/or community nursing knowledge is required
Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50lbs.
All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks.
Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University’s insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

Master's in Nursing
Successful professional experience in the areas of psychiatric, maternal-child and pediatric nursing is desired.
Successful professional experience in nursing education in the clinical setting is preferred.
