About The Position

The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently seeking 2 full-time Clinical Instructors or Assistant Professors at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, MD to contribute to the education of Care of Adult Population. UMSON enrolls more than 2,000 students in its baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland graduate professional campus that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, and social work. Its interdisciplinary graduate school has more than 40 programs in biosciences, law, and social work, and is one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the nation. Requirements

• The successful candidate will be enrolled in a doctoral program or have earned a doctorate (PhD, EdD, or DNP).
• Current license to practice in the State of Maryland or a compact state is required.
• This position requires face to face teaching and clinical site visits.

• Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction for nursing students (BSN, MSN generalist, RN to BSN).
• Evaluates students and participates in curricular adjustments and modifications for entry to practice and RN to BSN students.
• Participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of simulations and clinical experiences relative to courses taught.
• Contributes to the school's mission in service, scholarship, and practice.
