About The Position

Accenture is seeking experienced Clinical Information System (CIS) Consultants, Clinicians, or Clinical Informaticists to join their Health practice. The role focuses on assisting clients with migrating and running their CIS in the Cloud, as well as providing support and optimization for existing CIS solutions. Responsibilities include implementation, development, deployment, technical requirement analysis, and problem-solving related to CIS. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in specific CIS solutions like Cerner, Epic, MEDITECH, or Allscripts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' work experience in Healthcare IT.
  • Clinical background preferred.
  • Consulting or systems integrator experience with Clinical Information Systems solutions, or clinical healthcare organization experience using CIS solutions (Cerner preferred).
  • Proficient in designing and building CIS solutions, with a preference for Cerner Millennium suite, PowerChart applications.
  • Preferred experience in implementing CIS solutions in a complex inpatient or outpatient Clinical Information Systems environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Must be currently based in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred understanding and/or training in Cerner Millennium configuration, including but not limited to: PowerChart, Message Centre, Orders to Scheduling (Follow Up/Referral To), Codesets, UltraGrids, Tracking Shell, Positions, Data Collection Workbook, MPages, Dynamic Worklist, CareCompass and iView.
  • 5+ years' prior experience working for a consulting firm and/or delivery of client services preferred.
  • Canadian Healthcare experience/knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the Clinical Information System (CIS) project planning, including solution, scope, estimates, contingency, costs, schedule, delivery model, resource/sourcing plan, assumptions, and risks.
  • Work with delivery leads to ensure alignment with Accenture Delivery Methods for CIS solutions.
  • Facilitate the solution design, configuration and validation in an implementation support role for CIS solutions.
  • Proactively manage client and Accenture risks and quality assurance improvement initiatives.
  • Work with Vendor Solution Consultants and Accenture Delivery Teams to develop assets and accelerators to assist clients with CIS implementations, migrations, optimizations, and/or other related developments.
  • Provide clinical guidance and leading practices to the internal project team, including consultation and cross collaboration with internal and external clients to understand workflows and facilitate the analysis of current state, future state, and gap analysis to support CIS value realization.
  • Demonstrate Nursing expertise by addressing client operational and/or technical challenges.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to form relationships and drive successful clinical engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include implementation, optimization, and the development and execution of CIS-adjacent projects.
