About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Clinical Informatics Manager to lead and mentor a talented team of clinical informatics professionals who serve as trusted partners to providers, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health staff, dental teams, and operational leaders across the organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and plays a critical leadership role in advancing clinical excellence through technology, workflow optimization, and exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Demonstrated success leading or supervising Clinical Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Clinical Applications, or Health IT teams.
  • Extensive end-to-end knowledge of Epic Ambulatory workflows, including: Patient scheduling, Registration, Clinical documentation, Orders and referrals, Care coordination, Revenue cycle and billing workflows
  • Proven experience mentoring, coaching, and developing staff.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and the relationship between clinical workflows and information systems.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational support and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Clinical Informatics, or related field required. An equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and progressively responsible clinical informatics experience may be substituted.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting Epic Ambulatory workflows and clinical operations.
  • Three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or team management experience.
  • Experience providing end-user support, workflow optimization, change management, and training in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience supporting Epic upgrades, implementations, optimization projects, or go-live activities.
  • Ability to travel between ICHS sites as necessary.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License and proof of insurance if driving for business purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Epic Ambulatory Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency.
  • Experience leading optimization, implementation, upgrade, or workflow redesign initiatives.
  • FQHC, community health center, ambulatory care, or multi-specialty healthcare experience.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Experience within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), ambulatory care, community health center, or multi-specialty healthcare environment preferred.
  • Epic Ambulatory Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Clinical Informaticists focused on providing exceptional support and service to end users.
  • Drive Epic optimization initiatives that improve clinician efficiency, patient care, quality outcomes, and user satisfaction.
  • Establish high standards for customer service, accountability, troubleshooting, and operational ownership.
  • Partner with providers and operational leaders to identify workflow improvement opportunities and implement effective technology solutions.
  • Oversee clinical rounding, user engagement, training initiatives, system enhancements, upgrades, and change management efforts.
  • Foster a culture that emphasizes proactive problem-solving, continuous improvement, collaboration, and end-user advocacy.
