About The Position
Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to serve as a clinical leader and subject matter expert supporting the optimization and effective use of the Epic electronic health record. This role bridges clinical practice, information technology, quality improvement, and operational leadership to ensure Epic workflows support safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The Clinical Informaticist works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, clinical operations, Epic analysts, IT teams, and executive stakeholders to design, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve clinical workflows, decision support, documentation tools, order sets, reporting, and provider experience within Epic.
Requirements
- California Medical License
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- DEA License
- BLS Certificate
- Ability to become and stayed credentialed in CSV, Medical/Medicare, and with any contracted health plans
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and provider needs.
- Ability to build trust with physicians and other clinical users.
- Working knowledge of Epic functionality, configuration concepts, and clinical workflow dependencies.
- Ability to evaluate EHR changes for clinical safety, usability, and operational impact.
- Comfort working in a matrixed environment across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and CSV policies (including employee health immunization requirements) as a condition of continued employment.
Nice To Haves
- Epic Physician Builder Certification within 90 days of hire
- Documented Interest or experience in health care informatics
- Documented Interest or experience in physician leadership
- Working knowledge of regulations, policies and standards related to health services.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in FQHC or county health system required.
