  • Understanding of clinical documentation requirements, EHR workflows, and medical decision-making across specialties.
  • Comfort operating in both federal (VA) and commercial healthcare environments, or a credible plan to ramp into the unfamiliar side.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, medical-legal documentation standards, and quality requirements.
  • Experience with implementation science frameworks (RE-AIM, CFIR) or equivalent structured approaches to adoption and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis (5 Whys, fishbone, or equivalent) on clinical, workflow, or quality problems.
  • Direct or adjacent experience with AI/NLP prompt design, prompt evaluation, or clinical documentation improvement technologies.
  • Comfort working from product analytics and dashboards to identify patterns.
  • 3+ years developing and delivering clinical education or healthcare IT training.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective curriculum and measure its impact beyond satisfaction scores.
  • Experience with virtual training platforms and comfort presenting to groups.
  • Track record of adapting delivery across specialties and audiences with different technical proficiency.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaborator across internal teams, with the credibility to advocate for clinical needs in technical discussions.
  • Comfortable delivering executive briefings and handling support tickets.
  • Sound clinical and ethical judgment under time pressure, particularly around patient safety escalation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
  • Genuinely mission-driven, motivated by the impact on clinical care.
  • Inclined to bring people in early and collaborate across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Health, Medical Education, Clinical Informatics, or related field.
  • Experience with ambient AI, clinical documentation improvement, or speech recognition technologies.
  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-scaling environment where role boundaries were fluid.
  • VA clinical experience (staff clinician, clinical educator, or clinical informaticist) and commercial health system experience.
  • Section 508 accessibility compliance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct live virtual training sessions for clinicians across various specialties and sectors (federal and commercial).
  • Present platform updates, training, and support at provider and leadership staff meetings.
  • Lead virtual office hours and recurring Q&A sessions for just-in-time workflow support.
  • Onboard and coach new users individually, adapting approaches based on specialty, technical comfort, and sector.
  • Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to build capacity among Site POCs and Clinical Champions.
  • Track training metrics (attendance, completion, satisfaction, time-to-activation) and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain training curriculum, job aids, and educational resources for federal and commercial audiences, including specialty-specific modules.
  • Continuously update training materials based on product changes, user feedback, and clinical best practices.
  • Design self-paced and asynchronous resources to scale coaching capacity.
  • Develop release communications for feature updates and product changes.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop Clinical Champions to extend adoption support within facilities.
  • Build and facilitate an active Clinical Champion community of practice for peer learning and problem surfacing.
  • Develop and execute implementation strategies for new and scaling sites.
  • Diagnose and lead service recovery for sites experiencing adoption struggles or negative early experiences.
  • Conduct workflow assessments to identify integration opportunities and barriers, translating findings into site-level plans.
  • Document recurring failure modes and effective interventions in the implementation playbook.
  • Build and maintain deep product understanding, including AI generation, prompt/template influence, and model limitations.
  • Interpret clinician-reported concerns and errors, performing root cause analysis.
  • Recommend and implement prompt changes grounded in clinical judgment, safety, and quality standards.
  • Escalate patient safety concerns immediately per protocol.
  • Partner on the Clinical Quality Scoring Rubric and documentation audit findings.
  • Work directly with the Technical Product Manager and on-call engineers to resolve live customer issues.
