This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Infinitt/PACs application, including image workflow, troubleshooting, and optimizing its capabilities. The individual will proactively identify opportunities for increased efficiency and throughput in the Ophthalmology clinic related to ancillary and diagnostic equipment and testing. This role involves identifying system solutions to meet functional needs, streamline operations, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality. The Clinical Imaging Coordinator will serve as the liaison between the department and WVUH IT (including Epic Ambulatory Support and PACs teams), WVUH Biomed Engineering, and assist with vendor support as needed. They will work closely with department leadership to ensure proper image data transfer into the Infinitt system and oversee and correct errors in the Infinitt/Epic data transmission process. The position requires developing a strong understanding of ophthalmic equipment operation and performing diagnostic ancillary testing, educating support staff, and maintaining equipment calibration. This role also involves working with vendor support for troubleshooting, setup, and training, as well as managing Epic enhancements, onboarding staff and providers, and resolving workflow/clinical issues in the software. Responsibilities include Epic maintenance such as tech work list upkeep, scheduling/correcting orders, and creating/maintaining provider and department Smart phrases. Additionally, the role requires interdepartmental collaboration with compliance, billing, and legal teams to ensure provider Epic documentation meets current standards.
