About The Position

Assists the Technologists by providing support of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including multiple clerical and patient service tasks. Assists technologists in providing efficient patient service; assists with patient and room preparation for examinations; ensures that necessary supplies are available; greets patients and escorts them to examination room; transport patients to and from other hospital departments as needed. Calls patients to confirm appointments.

Requirements

Four years of high school.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy; must complete medical terminology course within first year in position if not completed prior to hire.
Excellent telephone etiquette required.
Previous Windows experience is required.
Obtains and maintains BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles, preferred.
