About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Clinical Group Facilitator to support clients in addiction treatment. The role conducts group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups tailored to clients’ challenges and needs; helps clients develop coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools; and works closely with clinical staff to monitor client progress and concerns. The facilitator escalates significant concerns to the Clinical Director and maintains thorough group-session documentation, clinical assessments, and individual client charting.

The position is based at Avenues Recovery Center at Dublin, a residential facility providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The facility is located on 11 acres in the New Hampshire countryside and is staffed by clinicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, addictions counselors, and behavioral health technicians.

Requirements

• Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in the state.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong presence and sound judgment.
• Warm, dignified, and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client’s challenges and needs.
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress.
• Escalate significant client concerns to the Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
• Ensure clinical assessments and individual client charting are completed.
