This role serves as a member of the school’s multidisciplinary team and IEP program team, offering consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student goals. The Clinical Fellow (CF) Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) works under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist, providing speech therapy to K-8 students. This position assists with speech screening and initial evaluations to prepare and conduct treatment plans. The role involves providing high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to eligible K-8 students, conducting assessments, translating and analyzing assessment results, and developing reports to determine strengths and concerns in all communicative domains. The CF SLP will use professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education to make practice decisions, and participate in all required conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings. Treatment plans will be developed in conjunction with instructional staff, focusing on being strength-based, child-centered, and family-centered for overall educational improvement. The role ensures that evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery align with school, state, and federal guidelines. Additionally, the CF SLP will assist and guide key stakeholders in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders. Other duties as assigned.
