Clinical Exercise Physiologist
About The Position
Life Scan Wellness is hiring a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to provide prevention-based screenings, physicals, and fitness evaluations for firefighters and police officers. The position is based out of Jacksonville, Florida, and is primarily a travel role, with travel throughout Florida and to cities across the United States. Candidates must be willing to travel and have a vehicle capable of carrying the required equipment. The role includes reviewing patient histories, conducting body composition and fitness assessments, performing resting and exercise ECGs, and creating individualized exercise prescriptions and dietary recommendations based on exam results. Detailed charting and professionalism, compassion, communication, organization, leadership, and technical skills are important.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science program.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong technical skills, including MS Office, imaging software, and EMR platforms.
- Professionalism and compassion.
- Must have a vehicle capable of holding and carrying the required equipment.
- Must be willing to travel throughout Florida and to cities across the United States.

- Master's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review patient history.
- Assess body weight, BMI, and BIA body fat percentage.
- Prepare patients and perform 12-lead resting and exercise ECGs, using independent intermediate interpretation skills.
- Perform muscular strength and endurance assessments.
- Perform flexibility assessments.
- Create customized exercise prescriptions based on exam results.
- Provide dietary recommendations.
- Complete individualized and detailed charting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
