The Clinical Engagement Coordinator will provide the best daily support and interventions to persons experiencing a range of behaviors and symptoms. This role participates in a multi-disciplinary team comprised of medical, clinical, and direct support professionals. The position focuses on engaging individuals in a client-centered approach, addressing the varied needs of individuals experiencing homelessness, and supporting clients adjusting to the facility setting. This includes providing orientation for new clients, setting expectations, and discussing available resources. The role also involves individual follow-up, assisting in the supervision of frontline operations and case management staff, and ensuring the safety of persons served during critical moments through verbal de-escalation. Additionally, the coordinator will provide ongoing training for staff in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention modalities, utilize Motivational Interviewing, work with clinical teams on referrals, and apply trauma-informed and recovery-based principles. The role also includes conducting in-service workshops and creating/maintaining QA procedures.
