Capital Health is seeking a Clinical Educator for the Department of Clinical Education. This role is responsible for coordinating the development of orientation plans for unit-based healthcare providers, individualizing these plans based on experience and learning needs. The educator will assist the department manager in updating and monitoring the orientation process, and evaluating orientee progress. They will demonstrate effective teaching skills using various instructional methods, plan and present programs to meet assessed learning needs of healthcare providers, patients, and the community. The position involves integrating evidence-based practice and regulatory standards into educational activities, developing and updating educational materials, and creating programs that incorporate cultural diversity. The Clinical Educator will function as a resource, role model for infection control, and assist with ensuring compliance with regulatory standards like JCAHO, DOH, and Magnet. They will also participate in performance improvement projects, promote professional development, assist with performance appraisals, assess staff competence, and maintain records for educational activities. The role requires promoting accuracy and completeness in documentation and performing other duties as requested.
