About The Position

VitalCore Health Strategies, an industry leader in Correctional Healthcare, has an opening for a Full-Time Clinical Educator at Massachusetts DOC Regional Officer in Hopkinton, MA. This role is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of effective training programs for the VitalCore MADOC. This role ensures that staff receive the necessary onboarding, continuing education, and professional development to perform their duties within expected standards and practices and maintain clinical licensure. The Clinical Educator plays a vital role in fostering a culture of clinical excellence, compliance, and continuous learning within correctional healthcare settings.

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment preferred but not required
  • Possesses an active CPR certification
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice
  • Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and have good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education, Nursing, or related healthcare field with at least 3 years of healthcare training experience.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized, and capable of managing multiple training initiatives concurrently.
  • Must be an excellent communicator with strong instructional and presentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Correctional healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Certification in leadership training or experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of effective team leadership with the ability to inspire, coach, and engage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to quickly gain comprehensive knowledge of VitalCore's organizational structure, clinical operations, and training needs.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, implementing and evaluating standardized training programs for VitalCore employees, including the use of Corporate, state-specific, and facility-based curricula.
  • Coordinating with Regional Managers, HealthServices Administrators, and Statewide Officials to identify specific training needs and align educational initiatives with clinical and regulatory priorities for employees.
  • Ensuring that licensed clinicians receive continuing education to maintain their credentials and remain current with best practices in correctional and community care.
  • Facilitating direct training sessions and provides train-the-trainer support for designated site-based leaders.
  • Networking with leaders and trainers in the correctional healthcare field to understand current trends and best practices.
  • Maintaining knowledge of VitalCore policies and procedures and provides input into their development and revisions.
  • Developing and maintaining state-specific training resources in coordination with the Regional Medical Director and the Corporate Training Department.
  • Staying informed on industry trends, evidence-based practices, and evolving standards in correctional healthcare education through professional networking and attendance at approved conferences.
  • Traveling regularly to correctional facility sites across assigned regions; occasional travel to national or state-level training events or conferences may be required.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Attending training sessions and meetings as assigned.
