Our Clinical Educator is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of clinical training programs for staff within an outpatient primary care environment. This role ensures that clinical team members, including medical assistants, nurses, and other care team staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • An associate’s degree in nursing is required.
  • Must have a North Carolina LPN, or RN license in good standing, required.
  • 3+ years of experience and expertise in providing training in a variety of settings using different technology and approaches for multiple positions and roles.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred.
  • Previous development of training programs and professional development programs, preferred.
  • Strong desired with Epic software experience.
  • Knowledge of outpatient clinical workflows, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements, helpful.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how for-profit medical practices operate, helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and evaluate clinical training and education programs for clinical staff.
  • Lead onboarding and orientation for new clinical hires, ensuring competency in clinical procedures, workflows, and organizational protocols.
  • Provide ongoing education and skills validation for clinical staff, including competency assessments and refresher training.
  • Develop and maintain training materials such as manuals, job aids, competency checklists, and e-learning content.
  • Ensure staff adherence to clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with providers, clinical leadership, and operations teams to identify training needs and address performance gaps.
  • Assist in quality improvement initiatives by reinforcing best practices and standardizing clinical workflows.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through audits, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical procedures, patient care standards, and workflow optimization.
  • Support implementation of new initiatives, including clinical programs, process changes, and system updates.
  • Process and resolve Support Tickets for Clinical workflow and user needs.
  • Maintain content in the SharePoint Training Library.
  • Participate in the ongoing professional development of clinical staff.
