About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT) to fill the position of Clinical Educator for our Home Health Division in Hawaii. Direct, plan, and implement educational offerings relevant to services provided by the Home Health care team.

Requirements

  • Four (4) year college degree.
  • Holds a current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the state of Hawaii.
  • Holds a current license in good standing as a Physical Therapist in the state of Hawaii.
  • Has a minimum of five (5) years clinical experience.
  • Preferably two (2) of those years in Home Health.
  • Demonstrated subject matter knowledge and expertise.
  • Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Assess and evaluate needs of the clinical staff according to state and federal regulations, current clinical standards, accreditation standards, and BAYADA policies.
  • Assess and evaluate staff and client learning needs according to client needs.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver on-boarding education to all new clinicians based on BAYADA policies and procedures, current regulatory and professional requirements.
  • Organize and monitor new clinician completion of online learning modules.
  • Conducts on-going evaluation of on-boarding effectiveness with new clinicians.
  • Plan and provide clinical in-service programs based on clinical outcome data related to performance improvement, such as Incident Reports, Infection Control trends, chart reviews, and survey results.
  • Director of Clinical Education in collaboration with preceptors will meet with new clinicians at minimum bi-weekly to assess and assure success with on-boarding progress.
  • Assist clinical managers with conducting initial and on-going competency requirements of field staff.
  • Provide opportunities for individual staff members to achieve professional growth and obtain continuing education credits through the creation and support of division and office in-services.
  • Identify and maintain educational resource materials.
  • Submit recommendations to director, division director, DCO for purchase.
  • Conducts an annual review of on-boarding manual with the other Directors of Clinical Education to assure that all on-boarding material is standardized, consistent and meets all current regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
