About The Position

The Clinical Education Specialist will be responsible for staying current on trends in clinical education and tailoring programs to meet organizational needs. This role involves partnering with key clinical leaders and teams to build a comprehensive offering of Continuing Education (CE) that enhances organizational development and performance. The specialist will also serve as the lead planner for national clinical learning events, managing logistics, vendor relations, and budget administration. Additionally, they will provide ongoing support for regional learning events, facilitate learning materials, and act as a primary point of contact for commercial vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with mentoring and training
  • Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in a clinical dental setting.
  • Comfort and knowledge presenting clinical content to both clinical and non-clinical audiences
  • Knowledge of Computer & Presentation Tools basics
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to communicate well orally and writing.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Stay current on trends in clinical education and utilize to tailor programs to meet organizational needs.
  • Partner with key clinical leaders and teams, such as the Chief Dental Officer, Clinical Affairs Team, GP Advisory Council, Patient Experience team, and Regional Presidents, to build a comprehensive offering of CE that will enhance organizational development and performance.
  • Provide direction when working with vendors and venues for on and off-site training activities and learning events.
  • Serve as the lead planner for national clinical learning event logistics, providing hotel/venue sourcing, coordinating with venues/catering/vendors, coordinating planning meetings, vendor relations and planning services for: Days of Learning, Top Docs, and other CE Learning Events with up to 20% of time spent traveling to provide on-site support.
  • Oversee planning, logistics and setup, facilities and equipment management, and contract signatures for live & virtual experiences.
  • Administer the allocated budget for all learning events and activities.
  • Execute all event material production, supply orders, and other required documents, monitoring quantities and distribution.
  • Ensure AGD compliance according to established MDP procedure.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial vendors partnering on clinical learning events.
  • Communicate essential event details to vendors and conduct proactive check-ins with vendor contacts prior to events.
  • In partnership with the Director of Procurement, monitor the status of commercial sponsorship agreements/invoices and perform necessary follow-up.
  • Submit vendor invoices and track payment as needed.
  • Establish workflows, practices, and standards to ensure that ongoing support is provided for regional learning events.
  • Conduct Event Reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure action plans are developed and implemented.
  • Be an active member of the Talent Management team, visiting practices and supporting field teams/leaders with ongoing learning needs.
  • Facilitation of learning materials as determined by the Director of Talent Management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
