About The Position

The Clinical Education Director oversees primarily clinical, but also didactic, components of the MS in Pathologists’ Assistant program, ensuring students achieve required competencies in alignment with NAACLS standards, including maintaining documentation for continuous quality improvement (CQI). This role develops and delivers clinical and didactic coursework, coordinates clinical rotations, evaluates student performance, and provides advising and support. The Clinical Education Director also establishes and maintains clinical partnerships to support high-quality training, enrollment capacity, and program sustainability, while contributing to accreditation compliance, student recruitment, and career placement. Through these responsibilities, the Clinical Education Director plays a central role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and effectiveness of the program’s educational experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Pathologists' Assistant Studies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience
  • Graduation from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant educational program
  • Certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC, US), including the continued participation In the required maintenance of certification program
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred minimum of 5 years of experience in anatomic pathology clinical setting, preferred experience in graduate level teaching
  • Preferred knowledge of pedagogical methods, administration, and current NAACLS accreditation and certification procedures

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage clinical education, including rotation scheduling, course oversight, and alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards
  • Deliver and support didactic instruction, including course development, teaching, assessment of student learning outcomes, and continuous course improvement
  • Monitor, evaluate, and support student academic and clinical performance through ongoing assessment, advising, and counseling
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of program by evaluating curriculum, faculty, and didactic and clinical training
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with affiliated clinical sites to support high-quality training experiences
  • Contribute to program operations, including accreditation compliance, student recruitment and admissions, and career placement support
  • Other duties as Assigned
