Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required
  • 5 years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting Required
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required
  • NPD - Nursing Professional Development (NPC-BC) through ANCC within 2 Yrs Required
  • Member of ANPD Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related field Preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing education, staff development, or clinical leadership Preferred
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic leader in hospital-wide nursing professional development, with primary responsibility for supporting and advancing clinical education across their assigned entity.
  • Champions lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and competency development to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes, grounded in the ANPD Nursing Professional Development (NPD) model.
  • In collaboration with the entity Chief Nursing Officer and under the direction of the System Director of Clinical Education, mentors and guides unit-based educators, ensuring their efforts align with organizational goals, evidence-based practices, and professional development standards.
  • Facilitates, supports, and evaluates the effectiveness of unit-based education through coaching, collaboration, and oversight (does not directly deliver unit-level education).
  • Fosters interprofessional collaboration, guides change initiatives, supports role transitions, and ensures that educational strategies are driven by data and organizational needs.
