Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required
5 years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting Required
RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required
NPD - Nursing Professional Development (NPC-BC) through ANCC within 2 Yrs Required
Member of ANPD Required

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related field Preferred
Demonstrated experience in nursing education, staff development, or clinical leadership Preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty Preferred

Responsibilities

Serves as a strategic leader in hospital-wide nursing professional development, with primary responsibility for supporting and advancing clinical education across their assigned entity.
Champions lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and competency development to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes, grounded in the ANPD Nursing Professional Development (NPD) model.
In collaboration with the entity Chief Nursing Officer and under the direction of the System Director of Clinical Education, mentors and guides unit-based educators, ensuring their efforts align with organizational goals, evidence-based practices, and professional development standards.
Facilitates, supports, and evaluates the effectiveness of unit-based education through coaching, collaboration, and oversight (does not directly deliver unit-level education).
Fosters interprofessional collaboration, guides change initiatives, supports role transitions, and ensures that educational strategies are driven by data and organizational needs.
