About The Position

This position works in collaboration with personnel at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS) campus and at the Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC). Responsibilities for the CU PT hybrid pathway at UCCS are to serve as the administrative staff Clinical Education (CE) Coordinator and to support Clinical Education data management and communications. The role also coordinates and assists with the Rural Track and Early Admissions Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional experience in academic administration, higher education operations, clinical education coordination, student services, or a related field supporting educational programs.
  • Option 1: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in higher education, academic program administration, or clinical education environments.
  • Familiarity with clinical education management systems (e.g., EXXAT) and/or student data tracking platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical rotation placements for students across Residential and Hybrid pathways.
  • Request and manage clinic rotations through partner systems and organizations (e.g., LCCA, MCE).
  • Track placement availability, confirmations, and student assignment processes to support clinical education operations.
  • Manage student onboarding processes for clinical education experiences, including account creation and access management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date onboarding records, compliance documentation, and tracking systems.
  • Monitor onboarding completion timelines and communicate requirements to students and clinical partners.
  • Provide comprehensive communication and coordination with Clinical Education (CE) students, faculty, and clinical partners.
  • Serve as a primary administrative point of contact for clinical education-related questions and operational support.
  • Coordinate meetings, updates, and follow-up communications related to clinical education activities and partnerships.
  • Maintain and manage clinical education systems (e.g., EXXAT), including student placements, site records, and communications.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of clinical education databases and electronic records.
  • Support system updates, reporting functions, and process improvements related to clinical education operations.
  • Develop and generate scheduled and ad hoc reports to support clinical education program operations and decision-making.
  • Analyze and compile clinical education data for accreditation, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Maintain organized reporting structures and assist leadership with tracking key program metrics.
  • Support supervision and coordination of student employees assisting with clinical education and immersion-related activities.
  • Assist with training student employees and providing operational guidance as needed.
  • Provide backup support for immersion-related functions and scheduling coordination.
  • Coordinate and support activities related to the Rural Track within the Physical Therapy Program.
  • Assist with student participation tracking, communications, and program logistics for rural initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty, clinical partners, and community organizations to support Rural Track objectives.
  • Coordinate and support activities related to the Early Admissions Program for the Physical Therapy Program.
  • Assist with communications, application tracking, and program logistics for prospective students.
  • Support outreach and coordination efforts with partner institutions and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to university, accreditation, and clinical partner policies and procedures related to clinical education operations.
  • Maintain organized documentation and support audit and compliance review processes.
  • Assist with identifying and implementing workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
