About The Position

The Education & Events Specialist will own the coordination and execution of our continuing education and maintain consistent, high-quality engagement with our KOLs. This role will interface with doctors, our key experts, as well as with internal teams to ensure that our programs are a success. It will provide on-site support for our programs at our education hubs in Las Vegas, Ft. Lauderdale, and Chicago. It will also occasionally support live surgery programs in various locations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in clinical education, event coordination, marketing, sales, or similar commercial experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for onsite support in education and training events.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience in dental field (e.g. Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Hygienist) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the coordination of all event-related activities for clinical education at Implant Direct, including faculty communication, securing course vendor & rep support, and communication with course venues.
  • Own the process to ensure product for hands on courses arrives to/from education events in a timely manner and all product is complete and in working order upon arrival.
  • Work with the education team and operations team in Thousand Oaks to execute the course (including product samples, models, literature, course related materials).
  • Maintain on-site supplies and inventory stored in Las Vegas, Nevada and Fort Lauderdale, FL working with Thousand Oaks/Pomona facility to acquired product as needed.
  • Gather and ship materials and products for all courses and process Inventory Material Request (IMR)/SAP forms as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Education course curriculums, course structures, itineraries, and scheduling.
  • Negotiate with on-site support vendors for course support and equipment/product.
  • Support with other miscellaneous education activities.
  • Maintain professional communication with key experts and leaders in the field to ensure alignment for hands-on courses.
  • Support with sourcing venues, catering ordering, badges and certificate preparation, and marketing materials organization prior to the events.
  • Ensure product for hands-on courses is returned to Implant Direct headquarters in Thousand Oaks (when applicable) and checked in appropriately.
  • For courses in Las Vegas and/or Fort Lauderdale, ensure that product is properly cleaned and returned to storage for use at the next course.
  • Attend Implant Direct education courses in Las Vegas and other core curriculum courses to act as on-site support for doctors, including managing the hands-on portion of the course.
  • Prepare, distribute, and clean up the ‘hands on’ portion of the course to facilitate the doctor’s learning.
  • Set up and clean up for on-site events, including food and beverage ordering and audio-visual needs.
  • Maintain course roster and ensure doctors have ‘signed in’ for CE credit.
  • Distribute and collect course surveys at the end of the course.
  • Provide customers with precise Education offering information and sell appropriate promotions at the course.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned KOLs, maintaining consistent communication and strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Proactively manage KOL engagement, addressing questions and resolving concerns.
  • Partner with the Director of Clinical Technology to collect KOL materials for clinical and compliance review prior to programs.
  • Coordinate onboarding and new product training for KOLs.
  • Communicate updates related to logistics (e.g. contracts, invoice payment) and manage expectations.
