About The Position

The Events & Education Specialist is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational offerings. This role involves planning, scheduling, and executing a variety of public and private events, including cooking classes, wine tastings, buyouts, press events, and private receptions. The specialist will also be responsible for writing and monitoring class descriptions, compiling necessary event documentation, creating online registration pages, fostering interdepartmental collaboration, and building client relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
Outstanding professional communication skills and editorial skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Italian wine and food gastronomy
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Italian language preferred

Responsibilities

Plans, schedules and executes public and private events including specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, buyouts, press events, tastings and private receptions
Writes and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages online
Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events
Builds and manages client lists and relationships
Performs other duties as required or assigned
