As a CDI Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by conducting an in-depth review of clinical documentation (medical records, prescriptions, operative reports, history, and physicals) based on billing criteria. You will also communicate internally and externally to obtain missing clinical information required for placement and/or billing. This could include other Solventum employees, home health agencies, patients, hospitals/facilities, and physicians. You will be expected to meet production expectations based on department priorities, as well as sustaining critical service level agreements to ensure good continuity of the operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified before start) from an accredited institution
  • Experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and email
  • At least 1 year of experience in a KCI-related operation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in a country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • WDT, WCC, or ACAT experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with IB and OB calls.
  • Knowledge of Wound Management principles, clinical documentation requirements, and medical terminology in general
  • Knowledge of US Healthcare Billing rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of the post-acute market, including Home Health Agencies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Wound Care Centers
  • Bachelor’s degree or in-process studies in administration, engineering, or a healthcare-related field

Responsibilities
