About The Position

As Clinical Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all clinical programming while supervising both licensed and unlicensed clinical teammates. You will champion clinical excellence, promote continuous quality improvement, and ensure services are delivered with accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance. This role requires confident decision‑making, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain clinically engaged as needed to support patient care and team success.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current, unrestricted professional clinical license in the state of Indiana, including one of the following required: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive clinical counseling experience in a behavioral health setting
  • In‑depth understanding of co‑occurring mental health disorders and appropriate treatment interventions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan, direct, and monitor the work of others while fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and insurable by the designated carrier (role requires driving for company purposes)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of progressive clinical counseling experience in a behavioral health setting

Responsibilities

  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, development, and retention of clinical teammates
  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision, guidance, and operational leadership to counselors
  • Establish performance standards and complete 90‑day and annual performance evaluations focused on continuous improvement
  • Foster a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to enhance patient care and staff development
  • Ensure clinical services are delivered ethically, efficiently, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Coordinate clinical assignments related to intake assessments, individual and group counseling, and educational programming
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions as needed
  • Oversee quality assurance activities to ensure documentation meets company, regulatory, and accrediting standards
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Investigate and resolve teammate concerns or complaints in a fair, timely, and professional manner
  • Actively participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
  • Complete all required training and continuing education in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
