About The Position

The Clinical Director in senior living is a senior-level leadership position responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within an assisted living, memory care, or senior living community. The role ensures that residents receive high-quality, safe, and compliant care while managing staff, budgets, and clinical processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in healthcare management, nursing, or a related field
• Extensive background in clinical management, senior living, or healthcare administration; often 5+ years in senior living or related healthcare leadership
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• Expertise in healthcare regulations
• Proficiency in budgeting and resource allocation
• Relevant healthcare certifications (e.g., CCRN, RN, or healthcare management certification) may be required or preferred

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical activities, including resident care plans, health assessments, and coordination of services
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and facility-specific standards
• Hire, train, supervise, and mentor clinical staff such as nurses, aides, and case managers; provide guidance and performance feedback
• Create, implement, and update clinical policies, protocols, and best practices for resident care
• Monitor clinical outcomes, track metrics (e.g., readmission rates, incident reports), and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and support financial planning
• Work with administration, operations, and other departments to integrate clinical services and improve resident experiences
• Liaise with residents, families, and care teams to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure transparency
• Represent the needs of residents and staff, and advocate for policies that enhance care quality and safety
