Summary: The Clinical Director oversees all clinical services and is responsible for adherence to clinical standards and compliance expectations in collaboration with program and corporate leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,social work, counseling with a Master’s level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work,professional counseling or certification by a state wide certification board (CAADC) and 2 years ofclinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directlywith the chemically dependent.
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,social work, counseling and are working towards a Master’s level licensure (Marriage and familytherapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state wide certification board(CAADC), and 2 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
  • Bachelors Level with a CADC or are working towards a CADC with a minimum of one year ofqualifying clinical experience, and 3 years of clinical experience in a health and human servicesagency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
  • Associates Degree with a CAAC and 4 years of clinical experience in a health and human servicesagency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates potential clients for the appropriate level of care requirements and identifies their DSM IVTR diagnoses, Axis I-V.
  • Assists the counselors in the development of the treatment plan.
  • Facilitates treatment team meetings and participates in case consults.
  • Provides individual and group supervision to the counselors and other staff as assigned.
  • Attends shift change and company meetings.
  • Maintains caseload as needed.
  • Assists the Executive Director in developing new programs for the facility.
  • Clerical duties as required for maintenance of client files.
  • Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
  • Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients including crisis intervention.
  • Insures clinical program occurs daily as scheduled.
  • Identify/Implement/Evaluate evidence based treatment modalities.
  • Provide support to counselors to ensure EB modalities are consistently utilized both in group and individual sessions.
  • Attend provider meetings and explore other opportunities to engage with external stakeholders.
  • Support marketing efforts by providing tours and information as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
