About The Position

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is proud to offer competitive wages and an exceptional benefits package! Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Clinical Director to join our team. The Clinical Director is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations as well as long-term strategic development of all Clinical Services within Northern Pines Mental Health Center. This full-time role will operate throughout our six-county service region. Essential Functions include: In collaboration with the Director of Operations, complete all supervisory functions for direct-practice program leaders. Supervisory functions include but are not limited to: recruitment and selection, onboarding, ongoing training, scheduling, providing direction, delegating assignments, providing evaluations, addressing employee concerns, and addressing employee performance issues. May assist program leaders in completing these tasks for staff within their respective programs Oversee all clinical aspects of agency services in collaboration with Medical Director to ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence Provide clinical consultation to agency leaders and staff as needed Ensure Northern Pines maintains the necessary licenses and accreditations and operates within the law and in compliance with contractual obligations Maintain close working relationships with representatives of the community including but not limited to: other human services providers; managed care organizations; local, county and state agencies; major referral sources Stay informed of local, state, and federal mental health initiatives; forecast trends, issues, events and developments within the field of mental health Stay informed of all applicable state and federal regulations for programs and services. Implement changes as needed. Field, interpret, and respond to communications from employees In collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of Operations, determine and implement annual objectives for each direct-service program Meet regularly with program leaders to provide feedback, address concerns and ensure annual objectives are being met In collaboration with Director of Operations, complete performance reviews and development planning with each direct-service program leaders annually Assist in the creation and ongoing review of agency policy and procedure. Interpret, explain, and enforce agency policy Participate in program certifications, re-certifications, and audits as needed Conduct or direct investigations or hearings to resolve complaints or violations Serve as liaisons between organizations, shareholders, and outside organizations Monitor and evaluate client care to ensure treatment is carried out in accordance with agency philosophy and quality standards Provide coverage for clinical services, including clinical supervision, as needed Respond to emergent agency situations and staff inquiries. All crisis response should be done in collaboration with Executive Director

Requirements

  • This position may be filled by a mental health professional independently licensed in the state of Minnesota (i.e. LICSW, LMFT, LP, Psychiatric Nurse, LPCC)
  • Master’s degree in behavioral health sciences
  • Minimum two years’ supervised experience in the provision of mental health services
  • Travel is a function of this position; a valid driver's license is required
  • This is a Full-time position typically working daytime, weekday hours. Working nights, weekends and extended hours may be required
  • On-call is required in this role to respond to emergency situations and staff inquiries

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience in a not-for-profit setting is preferred
  • Certification to provide Board Approved Clinical Supervision in respective licensure is preferred
