The Clinical Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of marriage and family therapists through clinical leadership, supervision, teaching, and mentorship within Whitworth's Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic. This position offers the opportunity to integrate clinical excellence, student development, and program leadership in a collaborative academic environment dedicated to preparing ethical, competent, and culturally responsive clinicians. Consistent with Whitworth University's mission of educating both mind and heart, the Clinical Director helps cultivate clinicians who are equipped to serve individuals, families, and communities with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. As the primary clinical leader of the training clinic, the Clinical Director oversees clinic operations, supports student therapists and supervisors, ensures safe and effective client care, and advances continuous quality improvement. Working in partnership with faculty and program leadership, this individual helps create a dynamic learning environment where students, clients, and the broader community thrive. Through mentorship, supervision, and clinical education, the Clinical Director plays an important role in fostering the knowledge, character, and professional formation necessary for meaningful service in the counseling profession.
