About The Position

Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. As the Clinical Director in the Community-based Clinical Services department, you will provide both administrative and clinical supervision to contracted outpatient therapists and intensive in-home clinicians within the Charlotte Metro area. Your role will include ensuring that high-quality clinical care is delivered, while maintaining effective communication with your leader, peers, and direct reports. A typical day for you will involve coaching and holding direct reports accountable, driving excellence in clinical care, and ensuring that both client and program needs are met. This role can be based fully in the office at the Family Service Center on Wendover Rd in Charlotte or be a hybrid position, requiring multiple days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Meet credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead.
  • Master’s or doctoral degree
  • Active clinical licensure in NC.
  • Verified 3 years of work experience as a high performing individual contributor in a related field
  • Exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positions
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical supervisor license
  • Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution who are Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina, in good standing.

Responsibilities
