About The Position

The Sr. Director of Community-Based Services provides oversight, clinical guidance, and leadership for the entire community division. This role oversees clinic-based mental health services in Yonkers & Peekskill, School-based mental health services, Healthy Families & Andrus Parenting Services grant-funded programs, and Care Management. The Sr. Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with partners and stakeholders to inform service delivery and address the needs of children and families in Westchester County. The position reports directly to the Vice President and Chief Program Officer.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work with LCSW, or PhD in Psychology with license
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in community-based behavioral health or human services, including oversight of multiple programs
  • 3-5 years of Clinical supervision experience, program development, and execution
  • Article 31 Clinic experience and knowledge of OMH regulations
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of electronic health record system
  • Self-motivated, solutions-driven team player, and able to handle challenging situations in a professional and courteous manner
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills, and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
  • Ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction across all community-based programs to ensure alignment with organizational mission and goals
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across service lines, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements, including documentation, audits, and reporting standards
  • Monitor program performance through data-driven decision-making, utilizing key performance indicators to drive continuous quality improvement
  • Supervise, mentor, and support program Directors and Asst. Directors, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and collaboration
  • Ensure safe and effective operations of both Peekskill and Yonkers Clinics as well as satellite school-based mental health services
  • Maintain accountability for fiscally sound decision-making and demonstrate the ability to pivot operations, staffing, and resources in response to changing programmatic needs while safeguarding long-term financial sustainability
  • Represent the organization in community forums, coalitions, and stakeholder meetings to advance visibility and impact
  • Supports overall strategic plan of the organization.
