About The Position

This role combines traditional inpatient clinical nutrition responsibilities with a strong patient education focus. The Dietitian will provide nutrition care across multiple patient populations and units, including Med/Surg, ICU, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Cardiac, and other hospital floors as needed. In addition to clinical coverage, the Dietitian will be responsible for conducting inpatient nutrition education, following up with patients after discharge, and may assist with the development and management of support groups, including Diabetes and Bariatric programs. You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

Requirements

  • Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible to obtain certification.
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
  • Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
  • Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, including at least one weekend per month.
