About The Position

Sentara Therapy Center Marina Shores is hiring a full-time Clinical Dietitian for outpatient care in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The role is responsible for assessing and managing nutrition for acute and chronic disease in the outpatient setting. Work may include individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition, community outreach, public education, and scheduling. The dietitian develops and/or implements comprehensive care plans based on assessment and evaluation of patient and caregiver needs. Multiple shifts are available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's-level degree.
• BLS certification.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential must be obtained within six months of hire; verification statements are required for candidates awaiting RD credentialing.
• If the bachelor's degree is in a major other than Dietetics, completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage nutrition for acute and chronic disease in the outpatient setting.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Participate in culinary nutrition, community outreach, and public education.
• Perform scheduling.
• Develop and/or implement comprehensive care plans based on assessment and evaluation of patient and caregiver needs.
