Requirements
- Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop nutrition assessments, education programs, and discharge planning for consumers
- Prepare modified diets and adjust meal plans based on consumer needs and menu acceptance
- Recommend nutrition interventions and participate in committees focused on consumer care
- Maintain computer-based meal records and update nutrition care policies and procedures
- Support food service staff in delivering appropriate nutrition services to consumers
- Take part in tray audits, peer reviews, and training to meet regulatory and licensing standards
