Clinical Dietitian / Registered Dietitian Cardiac Rehab
About The Position
Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Dietitian for the Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab Program. This is a full-time position with a day shift, working 36-40 hours per week. The role is responsible for the assessment and nutritional management of acute and chronic diseases in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities may include individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition, community outreach, public education, and scheduling. The dietitian will develop and/or implement a comprehensive care plan based on patient/caregiver needs. This includes nutrition assessment for a wide variety of acute and chronic disease states, individual and group counseling, and culinary nutrition. The role also involves serving as a Sentara representative for health fairs, media outreach, and community presentations. Communication and collaboration with providers and other healthcare team members are essential for referrals, clinical diagnostic data, weekly rounds, and other patient care meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Registered Dietitian RD
- BLS is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Two years related experience in clinical nutrition
Responsibilities
