About The Position

The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional needs; develops and implements nutritional care plans and evaluates and reports these results appropriately. Participates in on-going education programs for hospital staff and the community; participates as an integral part of the nutrition care team in assigned and covered areas; coordinates activities with the needs of the department’s management team; shares on-call responsibilities on a rotating weekly basis during non-scheduled working hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays). The Clinical Dietitian I is able to begin to lay and build on the foundation of progressive problem solving and apply both scientific and theoretical knowledge to the care of patients. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Experienced candidates may be eligible to be hired as a clinical dietitian II or dietitian III.
  • May hire a new graduate with an expectation to pass the RDN exam within 6 months of hire. Failure to pass the exam within 6 months will result in termination or movement to an alternate role within the department, if available, until the RDN exam is passed.
