About The Position

Whether you are looking for your first Clinical Dietitian position or an experienced Clinical Dietitian, Parkland Health Center is the place to be! This is a PRN (as needed) position offering growth and development opportunities in an inpatient/outpatient setting with a supportive team culture. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. The Dietary Department provides support for the nutritional well being of our patients, visitors, guests, and staff on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Identifies nutrition related problems, determines nutrition diagnosis, prioritizes nutrition intervention and documents plan of care including writing diet orders and educating patient and families on nutrition plan of care.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient/client understanding of the nutrition support therapy prescription.
• Evaluates evidence that the nutrition intervention/plan of care is influencing a desirable change in the patient/client behavior or status.
• Reviews best available research/evidence and information for application to practice.
• Shares current, evidence-based knowledge, information with patients/clients, colleagues, and the public and tailors to the customers needs.
• Identifies efficient workflow patterns to optimize time management and maximize patient/client care outcomes.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
