About The Position

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nutritional care of patients across the hospital. The Dietitian collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide nutrition education, and promote optimal patient outcomes. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient recovery, disease management, and overall wellness through evidence-based nutritional practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure upon hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and medical nutrition therapy

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Experience providing nutrition counseling and patient education
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
