About The Position

GSK is seeking an experienced Medical Director in Clinical Development to provide clinical and scientific leadership for cardiovascular clinical and translational studies and asset-level programs within its Respiratory, Immunology & Inflammation Research Unit. The role contributes to assessing mechanisms and targets, target validation, life-cycle expansion, and innovative clinical development opportunities. It works cross-functionally to develop and execute clinical development plans and to advance foundational and real-world evidence, translational research, and biomarker capabilities. The position provides clinical oversight across development programs, from early development and potentially into later stages. It supports evidence-generation strategy, study design and delivery, regulatory interactions, participant safety, and medical governance. The role leads a Clinical Matrix Team for a program and serves as a clinical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, investigators, and key opinion leaders. The role is hybrid, with at least two on-site days per week at a posted location and remote work available on other days. For candidates at Stevenage, the role will initially be based there, with a planned office relocation to Cambridge, UK, proposed by early 2029.
