About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator (CC) coordinates and supervises daily clinical practices, including those of Medical Assistants, within the practice. The CC is responsible for staff evaluation and remediation, financial management, developing practice standards, managing supplies and inventory, and continuously assessing the quality of care and patient outcomes. Training and continued education for clinical staff are critical components of this role. The CC will also be involved in direct patient care and ensuring that all clinical inboxes (prior authorizations, referrals, refills, etc.) are current for all staff and providers.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Must be a caring and compassionate person able to put patients at ease using excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and follow written and verbal instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer proficiency is required and software such as EHS, Word, Excel and other programs are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to deliver proper care to assigned patients.
  • Collaborates with the assigned providers and other health care team members in developing and implementing care plans.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures and interventions.
  • Evaluates clinical staff's performance of their job duties.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, disciplining, and supervision of staff.
  • Provides supervision/direction to clinical staff in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
  • Serves as a resource for problem solving and as a role model/mentor to other team members.
  • Collaborates on development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and practice.
  • Supports, facilitates, and participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.
  • Reviews all intake information in Phreesia for accuracy and completion.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area in the exam rooms and all patient care areas.
  • Conducts self in accordance with the employee handbook and other company policies.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Inventories and requisitions all clinical supplies.
  • Performs data entry, recording, storing, and maintaining of information in written form or in the EHS.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the providers and all company staff.
  • Has flexibility to work at other Complete Health locations; has flexibility to work anytime during clinic business hours.
  • Assists patients with mobility and transport needs within the clinical setting, including helping patients in and out of wheelchairs or exam tables, escorting or transporting patients to various areas, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Monitors patients during transport for signs of distress, maintains the cleanliness of transport equipment, and provides emotional support when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
