This is a clinical coordinator role for a fast-paced, high-volume Urology department.

Requirements

  • Current FL Nursing License
  • Current Basic Life Support - CPR Certification
  • RN License required.
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • 1-3 years practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Medical assistant, LPN, RN, APRN and physicians with pharmacy refills, pre-authorizations, and laboratory results and in basket messages in a timely manner.
  • Ensure assigned responsibilities are completed by deadline.
  • Work with leaders to ensure adequate staffing levels and the most efficient organization and use of resources.
  • Communicate with the patient and family the care plan and answer questions about treatment according to the scope of practice.
  • Promote and educate staff and their support systems on new strategies, medications, and scheduled procedures.
  • Recognize and embrace diversity in patient education to enhance safety and ensure high-quality care.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to provide safe and effective communication to all service lines.
  • Actively engage in PI Team initiatives.
  • Participate in planning, presenting, and documenting inservices with service lines.
  • Help with clinical staff skills annually peer evaluation.
  • Adhere to and comply with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specialties.
  • Understand the importance of teamwork by maintaining communication and positive working relationships with clinical staff and physicians.
