This is a clinical coordinator role for a fast-paced, high-volume Urology department.

Requirements

Current FL Nursing License
Current Basic Life Support - CPR Certification
RN License required.
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
1-3 years practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Medical assistant, LPN, RN, APRN and physicians with pharmacy refills, pre-authorizations, and laboratory results and in basket messages in a timely manner.
Ensure assigned responsibilities are completed by deadline.
Work with leaders to ensure adequate staffing levels and the most efficient organization and use of resources.
Communicate with the patient and family the care plan and answer questions about treatment according to the scope of practice.
Promote and educate staff and their support systems on new strategies, medications, and scheduled procedures.
Recognize and embrace diversity in patient education to enhance safety and ensure high-quality care.
Utilize appropriate resources to provide safe and effective communication to all service lines.
Actively engage in PI Team initiatives.
Participate in planning, presenting, and documenting inservices with service lines.
Help with clinical staff skills annually peer evaluation.
Adhere to and comply with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specialties.
Understand the importance of teamwork by maintaining communication and positive working relationships with clinical staff and physicians.
