The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring high-quality patient care across Perioperative Services. In this role, the Clinical Coordinator provides clinical leadership to nursing staff, facilitates efficient patient care, and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct patient care as needed. The Clinical Coordinator will support the growth and development of Surgical Services through onboarding, education, staff development, and certification initiatives, including the development of a Periop 101 course. This position supports all areas of Perioperative Services, including the Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy (Endo), and Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), while also functioning as a clinical lead/charge and providing support to the OR Manager. The position involves coordinating patient care activities, managing clinical staff, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Clinical Coordinator collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflow, improve patient outcomes, and maintain a patient-centered approach to care. Strong leadership, organizational, educational, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
