Centerpoint – Paris, formerly Bourbon Community Hospital, is a 58-bed acute care facility, is proud to offer our community the latest in technology in a quiet hometown atmosphere. Our patients are our friends, our neighbors, and our family. We provide the highest quality of care to our patients in over 20 specialty areas. Our 9 bed Emergency Department at Centerpoint – Paris is open 24 hours a day. On average, we see 25-30 patients daily. Our ED RN’s provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 1- 2 years minimum Emergency RN experience required; 2- 4 years critical care experience preferred.
  • Current RN license in state of practice.
  • Current RN license in state of practice
  • BCLS required
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 2- 4 years critical care experience preferred.
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.
  • Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
